An Athletic Trainer is recognized as an allied healthcare professional by the American Medical Association, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Health Resource Services Administration. Athletic Trainers work closely with athletes and active individuals to prevent, recognize, evaluate, and rehabilitate injuries and medical conditions. Emergency procedures are also a key aspect of the skill set for Athletic Trainers, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for optimal patient care.
