Introducing BodyChange Pilates Studio and Dynamic Therapies to Joseph, Oregon
Today, I’m launching my new website for my interrelated businesses BodyChange Pilates and Dynamic Therapies. It’s thrilling to see the re-vamp as I begin building my practice in Joseph, Oregon in Wallowa County. My husband, John, and I finally moved to Joseph in May, 2018 after many years of visiting and yearning to be here permanently. Well, one thing led to another….here we are! John was hired as a math teacher and assistant football coach at Joseph Charter School. Teaching is his third career; he is very happy to be part of the JCS community. We’re so fortunate to have been able to make this move happen, we are very grateful!
Beginnings are exciting, daunting, and a lot of work. In many ways, life is so much better in our new home, while some aspects have been more challenging, like starting over with a business. We already knew a number of folks in the area from our many visits as tourists and involvement in some of the artsy and outdoorsy events. There was a lot of support for me to open a studio in the area. I found a nice space in June on Main Street in Joseph, and got to work getting all of my equipment moved in and set up. I really enjoyed this setting, but an even better opportunity came up for me last May. I hired on as a contract therapist with Jerry Ivy, PT at New Heights Physical Therapy in Joseph. Jerry also happened to have a wonderful space available in his new facility. It is a bit smaller than my first space, but too good to pass up. So, I moved my studio into New Heights, integrating my services with his practice, as well as continuing to serve my private clientele. More people are noticing my studio, and inquiring about what I can do for them. There’s a particular interest in Pilates. I love introducing people to the Pilates method, it never gets old for me! Watching as clients’ knowledge and skills improve, and most important they feel better, is so very gratifying!
I am excited to be working with Jerry, contributing to the great work he does for his patients. BodyChange and Dynamic Therapies are settling in to our new digs. Many thanks to John for his constant encouragement and for making this move happen; to my “website guru”, Marsha Lindsey of Findable Design LLC; and to Heather Tyreman, Bill Finney, and many others for their faith in me. I’m looking forward to sharing Pilates, nutrition, and other aspects of health and well-being with everyone. Stay tuned for interesting topics on health and well-being. We each need to continue learning and finding what works for each of us as individuals. My goal is to offer tidbits of information which will plant seeds for you to germinate.
Your health comes first!
